Housing

The House, A Safe Place for Mesa County Teens

The House is 10 bed temporary shelter for homeless, runaway, and unaccompanied youth ages 13 through 20. The House helps teens move towards stable and safe housing and other youth-driven goals through intensive case management and support from advocates, volunteers, and mentors.

With very few exceptions, homeless, unaccompanied teens in Mesa County teens under 18 are guaranteed a bed at the House.

CATHOLIC OUTREACH DAY CENTER

The Day Center offers the amenities of home – a warm shower, laundry, telephone, mail, and storage – to area homeless, ages 18 and older. Job search support is also provided.

Twice each week medical personnel are present to assist the guests with preventive health care, distribute vaccinations, and provide testing. There is also an onsite counselor.

A free bus service is operated by members of the St. Matthew Episcopal Church each Monday and Thursday morning.

Peer Support Services By Mind Springs Health

Connections In The Community
Peer services provide opportunities for recovering individuals to connect with others who have also experienced mental health or substance abuse issues. Our Peer Specialists are available to support individuals and/or their family members in dealing with mental illness. They offer understanding, education and assistance in dealing with many issues.

Our friendly, caring staff provides confidential assistance with all your paperwork. You could have a medical card the same day. Building strong families through in-home parenting and education.
